Cloob.com is a Persian-language social networking website, mainly popular in Iran. After the locally (and internationally) popular social networking website Orkut was censored by the Iranian government, a series of local sites and networks emerged to fill the gap, with Cloob being one of them. Its main page contains the title Iranian Virtual Society and states that all content is controlled in accordance with Iranian law, a policy intended to lower the risk of government censorship. Its has an invite-only registration system.
Cloob was filtered in 7th March 2008 by Iran Government.
Cloob was unfiltered in 29th April 2008 by Iran Government and is available now.
