Versions

Development of Bibble 5.0 was announced on September 22, 2006,1 and is slated to be released sometime 2008.2

The software (latest version 4.10 as at July 2008) exists in Lite and Pro packages. Conversion of individual RAW images to JPEG is identical in both versions; the versions differ in degree of workflow automation and integration with Adobe Photoshop. The Pro package, unlike Lite, is fully multi-threaded, allows customizable work queues, advanced copy-pasting of image settings, support for tethered shooting and IPTC captioning. Both Pro and Lite packages come standard with a basic Noise Ninja noise reduction tool, but Pro Version allows optional purchase of Advanced Noise Ninja license. The Pro version ships with a Photoshop plugin; Lite version ships with Adobe Photoshop Elements plugin and is not integrated with Photoshop CS. The company chose not to disclose the full feature set of the upcoming version 5.0 until it actually ships, so the feature set of Pro and Lite packages in Bibble 5.0 may be substantially different.
